MATCH REPORTS: London United 91 Teesside Mohawks 85
United got back to winning ways at home on Sunday to Teesside Mohawks in a game that was more important to win after last weekends dissapointment of losing two games back to back.
With the return of Sebastian Saloman London had the height back up and strength in depth at the centre position that has been lacking since his departure and van Elswyks injury.
Teesside scored first through Michael-Nation who had a game high 36 points. The teams traded for much of the first half and it was Steve Vear who popped up with 10 first quarter points to keep the scores at 23-22 London's way.
Damian Reid eventually steadied himself after a poor start and smashed in two massive dunks to get the crowd on their feet and Callender and Mumuni finsihed off teh scoring in the first half to give United a slender 1 point lead at 44-43.
London came out with better tempo in the second half as they tooka lead of 8 points, however it was a run of 13 straight points from Nation again that kept Teesside in the game as Tesside finsihed the 3rd quarter up by 2 at 64-66.
United worked tirelessly to get their lead back in the 4th and successive threes from Mumuni and Jagodka as well as two inside passes to Grapsci from Williams restored order for London to go 6 up in the eighth minute.
United then fouled twice needlessley and Teesside went to the line to make 2 from 4 and then steal the ball from Mumuni to bring it back to 84-82.
It was Junior Williams who then found Sebastian Saloman under the ring who was fouled after making his 2 point shot to go to the line and make the third and again Teesside still managed to stay close by going to the foul line again.
With the score at 87-85 with only 19 seconds remaining Mumuni finished a break and Vear nailed his two free throws for London to take the win at 91-85.
